About OHR
One Human Rhythm
Who We Are
One Human Rhythm (OHR) was created from something simple but real: every human has a rhythm inside them.
In Hebrew, OHR means light — and that meaning sits at the centre of everything we’re building.
Through music, creativity, and rhythm, we want to help people reconnect with that inner light, that spark, that part of themselves that often gets buried under stress, distraction, and overthinking.
We don’t see the handpan as just an instrument.
It’s more like a doorway.
A way to slow down, breathe, play, and feel something real — even if you’ve never played music before.
OHR started because we felt this idea growing between us:
music should be easy to access, inspiring to touch, and meaningful to experience.
Why We Started OHR
We didn’t set out to build a business. We set out to build a movement — a space grounded in music, expression, and creativity.
The handpan has a unique ability to make people feel calm, present, open, and connected.
It doesn’t matter if you know music theory. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played an instrument.
It meets you where you are.
OHR became our way of helping people step back into their creativity, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover the light and strength inside them — without needing to analyse anything.
Just by playing.
Just by doing.
Just by showing up.
Meet the founders
Dan — Musician, Creator & Teacher
I’ve been connected to music for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always singing, and by 14 I’d picked up a guitar, formed a band, wrote songs, and started doing gigs — including one unforgettable Metallica cover at my school that probably confused more people than it entertained, but hey, we committed.
I’ve always been wired for creativity. Serious songs, silly songs, weird songs — I made them all.
Music has always been my outlet.
And honestly, when I’m not making music, I feel it. Something feels like its missing.
Music became even more important in 2023 when my mum passed away from cancer. It was a tough time, and music grounded me. Writing, creating, playing — it helped me process the things words couldn’t touch.
As I studied Kabbalah, I began to understand creativity differently — not as something you “figure out,” but as something the Light of the Creator flows through when you get out of your own way.
I realised that my purpose is tied to music, teaching, and helping people unlock their creativity — especially the people who don’t think they have any.
I’ve always wanted to build something of my own.Not a standard business, but something alive.
Something that inspires. Something that helps people return to themselves.
When Bonnie and I came together, the vision finally had the grounding it needed.
And that’s how OHR became real.
Bonnie — The Heart and Steady Rhythm of OHR & Renegade Dietitian
Music has been part of my life since I was young.
I grew up singing, dancing, and performing — not to be famous, but because I loved the way music made me feel.
It has always been the thing that brings me back into my body and can change my emotional state for the better (and very quickly).
It softens things. It helps me reset.
When I discovered the handpan (through Dan), I loved how unique it was. The sound was warm, calming, and grounding.
It slowed everything down without effort. It made me feel present in a way I really needed.
When Dan and I met, music was a huge part of both our lives.
We connected instantly on our values, creativity, the way we see the world, and our desire to build something meaningful together.
Dan is the ideas, the spark, the big imagination.
I bring the grounding, structure, and clarity that helps turn those ideas into something real.
Together, we balance each other (like a yin and a yang ;))— and that balance is what makes OHR work.
For me, OHR is about helping people feel calmer, more connected, more inspired, and more themselves through music — whether they’re feeling stressed, playful, curious, or creative.
In my practice as a dietitian, I am often encouraging mindfullness and slowing down and this is another one of those tools that can help & improve your life!
